Cut Deadpool Post Credits Scene?!
Deadpool 2 is taking the world by storm - hell, we even reviewed it during opening weekend - but the ending of Ryan Reynolds 'cleaning up the timeline' was perhaps one of the best gags of the film. Word is that there was another post-credits scene that almost made the cut.
The screenwriters, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, apparently had another legendary end credit scene up their sleeve using actors from 'Fantastic Four' - both 2005 and 2015 versions.
"We had Chris Evans coming in, not as Captain America, but as the Human Torch," they said. "And then we had a subsequent scene where all the [2015] Fantastic Four [cast] came in together, including Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, to kind of one-up the Chris Evans visit."
Unfortunately, the script was drafted but the scene was never recorded. A similar thing happened when they wanted to reunite the cast from 80's sitcom 'Night Court'.
“[Deadpool] got busted for committing crimes, went to trial, and Harry Anderson was going to be the judge, and John Larroquette was going to be the prosecutor, and we were going to do a whole Night Court thing."
