Kanye Gave The Ugandan Prez Yeezys Because That's What Uganda Needs
Listen, I'd never say no to a pair of Yeezys considering I could always sell them on Gumtree for like $100 more than the RRP, but I'm not too sure what Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is gonna do with his fresh pair of Yeezy's considering there's probably no hipster rapper from Eastern Sydney who wants to cop them after seeing them in an online ad. Still, Kanye gave him a pair anyway while on his African holiday because 2018 is whack and I need a lie-down.
Ye announced on TMZ two weeks ago that his fam would be visiting "what is known as Africa" to complete his upcoming album 'Yandhi' that will involve "sounds you've never heard before" and "concepts that people don't talk about". Idk about you, but I'm getting major 'African Child' vibes here...
He's not just giving out free made-in-China sneakers, he out here “to go and even find out what it’s really called and just grab the soil and be, and cook food, five meals a day so the metabolism stays up,” as well as “have the mic in the open so you can hear nature while we’re recording.”
Anyway, here is the Ugandan president tweeting and shit.
I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda's tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa. pic.twitter.com/BO0iD0sFCP
