LA Rams Have Extended Brandin Cooks' Contract
The Los Angeles Rams have signed Brandin Cooks to a five-year contract extension worth USD$80 million.
Cooks has yet to play for the Rams as he was acquired in a trade with the New England Patriots during the offseason.
Coach McVay said: "Brandin Cooks has shown himself to be a class act on and off the field since the first day he joined our team. He's a proven professional in this league and signing him to a long-term contract was always our goal."
Cooks is a fifth-year pro, entering the final season of his rookie contract. Cooks said: "I just knew that this is a place where I want to be for a really long time. I'm just excited to get Game 1 let alone six years. So that's what I'm focused on now."
Last season, Cooks caught 65 passes for 1,082 yards and 7 touchdowns.
