Detroit Tigers Have Fired Their Pitching Coach

Chris Bosio, Detroit Tigers' pitching coach has been fired for an insensitive comment. According to ESPN, Boiso was dismissed for making an insensitive comment directed at a team employee.

The team says it holds employees "to the highest standards of personal conduct on and off the field," and said they had zero tolerance for Bosio's behaviour. There is no word yet on what was said.

Bullpen coach Rick Anderson will take over for Bosio. The Tigers' roving pitching instructor, A.J. Sager, will fill in as the bullpen coach until Triple-A pitching coach Jeff Pico arrives and takes the position.
