DJ Shadow Set To Fall On Australia
DJ Shadow will unleash his trip-hop, hip-hop, mixing mastery on Australia when he ventures down under this May.
Josh Davis, aka DJ Shadow, will bring his 'This Mountain Will Fall Tour' to Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in support of his 2016 album 'The Mountain Will Fall'.
This album was his fifth studio album and showcased the evolution and adventure that has defined Shadow's career so far.
"I try to force myself to change things on every record and it’s why I feel that my music will always change," says Josh.
"It’s a bit preposterous to use old samplers when there’s so much more you can do with the new ones.
"We’d never have the amazing music that Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock did in the 1970s if they’d refused to use new synthesizers; which really defined what they did.
"It’s people like that that I look to for inspiration," he explains.
Culture Kings will also have two double passes to DJ Shadow's Melbourne show up for grabs inside the CK Holy Grail machine at the official Culture Kings' Chadstone store opening this Saturday.
DJ Shadow is known for his live show with incredible visuals so you don't want to miss the chance to see him in the flesh while he's in the country this May.
