Completing the Nike Cortez celebrations at Culture Kings is the arrival of the Nike Classic Cortez Nylon Premium in a yellow, green and white colourway. This design also resurrects Nike's first running shoe with the same clean, classic design to mark the occasion. The nylon upper on this one is smooth and lightweight. It also features the low-cut collar, cushioned insole and full-length foam sole with signature herringbone traction pattern for improved grip.
The Nike Cortez was Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman's first masterpiece, built to be lighter and more weatherproof than any other shoe. In 1972, it put unprecedented cushioning under the fastest feet in the running world and quickly became one of the most popular training shoes available. It was, and still remains, an unmistakeable icon.
