Nike Drops 2-Minute Ad With Kaepernick Amid Backlash
Nike isn't backing down from choosing Colin Kaepernick as the face of their new ad campaign - in fact, they're embracing it, backlash and all. Nike has just released a new 2-minute commercial featuring Kaepernick that is set to air during the NFL season opener.
The commercial features Colin narrating inspiring quotes as athletes are shown on screen, praising Serena Williams, Odell Beckham, Shaquem Griffin and the US Women's National Soccer Team.
Backlash, including people burning their own Nikes as an act of defiance against the brand, is in full swing. Kaepernick was the first NFL player to kneel during the national anthem to highlight racial injustice.

Donald Trump is especially against Nike's decision to use him saying on Twitter that: "Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way?" He added: "As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will until they stand for the FLAG!"
Many celebrities have shown their support for Nike and Kaepernick, with LeBron James saying: "I stand with Nike, all day, every day."
